Anime is Beautiful…

As a life long fan of animation I am always astounded at the beauty of the many varying styles of anime.

That’s all this post is. Eye candy.

Yes! This is why I love anime! Endless possibilities in terms of art style, direction and genres! πŸ™‚

Me as well! I had always been an animation fan, but came to anime late (the benefit of raising a couple of otakus) and have found it very rewarding to watch.

I definitely have to agree with you, sometimes I feel that anime is just good to look at even if you don’t want to pay attention to the content. Things like this are why anime deserves more props worldwide.

I agree! So often people dismiss it as simply cartoons, but don’t really understand the depth of how god both the stories and art work can be.

True as well! I found “The Wind Rises” to be one of the slower moving and less engaging Studio Ghibli films story-wise , but the animation was excellent!

What is your favorite animation style? Obviously there’s differences in animation style between animes, so I’m curious as to what you’d think.

I don’t know that I have one style in particular in mind. I do like a lot that Shaft does (Bakemongatari, Puella Magi Madoka Magica). I also really enjoyed the quality in scenes from movies like 5 Centimeters Per Second and shows like flying witch. It varies really. Kill La Kill was awesome as well, but it was stylistically different than those others I listed.

Ah, I see. Madoka Magica is interesting because it combines a lot of elements you wouldn’t see in the magical girl genre and mashes them all together.

I totally agree! Anime is so beautiful! The animation makes it so enjoyable and worthwhile! I guess that’s why I’ve always leaned more to anime than real life dramas. Although they are awesome, there’s just something about anime that draws me in. Thanks for sharing!

      Thank you!
I’m a sucker for good animation and there are so many styles and differences between shows each with their own unique beauty.
